Chelsea fans have been left stunned after learning of the wages Malang Sarr is currently earning at the club.
The 24-year-old signed for the Blues from Nice in 2020, penning a five-year contract. He was then loaned out to Porto for the 2020/21 season where Chelsea won the Champions League, featuring 19 times in all competitions for the Portuguese outfit.
Sarr returned to Chelsea the following season and featured eight times in the Premier League, as well as playing in the cup competitions and Champions League.He was also a substitute in the Club World Cup final but spent last season back in Ligue One on loan at Monaco.
Chelsea are desperate to shift him this summer, with the Evening Standard stating that the player has not even had a single conversation with new boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The report claims that fellow unwanted players Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi are in the same predicament.
However, at the bottom of the story, writer Nizaar Kinsella said that Sarr "is struggling to attract offers" due to his £100,00-a-week wages.Sarr likely isn't anywhere near the top bracket of earners at Chelsea given the recent splurge on new signings but there was mass disbelief over his £5.2 million-per-year pay packet.
