WE MAKE DURABLE BALLS IN AFRICA Alive and Kicking balls are hand-stitched in areas of high unemployment in Africa. Their production keeps 140 people in Nairobi, Lusaka and Accra in full-time work. Each of our staff supports an average of six people with their wage, meaning we directly support a community of over 800. More than half of our stitchers have never been in formal employment before. The majority of our balls are sold through African retailers, including Nakumatt, Shoprite and Game. Our leather balls have been proven to be twice as resistant to puncture as the usual synthetics and can be customised with logos and messages. That’s why organisations like UNICEF, UEFA, Arsenal and Coca-Cola have used our balls for their projects across dozens of African countries.
